Insert Molding Plastic Cables

Post by aberdeentech » Jul 22 2019 10:52am

Hey,

I am looking to see if any of you has used an insert molding specialist to help with molding the end of some electric vehicle cables?

I am looking for the most efficient and easiest way to do it.

Something like this looks pretty simple and easy:

What are your thoughts?

I have seen ebike XT90's embedded in sugru and DIY sugru (moldable plastic that hardens)

It's way too expensive for one-off DIY projects.

I have made my own using hot melt glue and a mold.

heet-shrink end caps might work in some cases.

nevah would have guessed but regardless it's still a semi-useful subject.
that is why i'm generally late/last to post.
i figger it should be ok once a mod has responded.
you would think he certainly must know what he's doing.

McMaster has similar connectors on their site as stock items.
