Hehe... speaking of Vienna and getting yer ass electrified... more Giggle Translate, in part:
In the B2B area we also offer My Donkey Bicycles made of WOOD, which due to the frame construction offer very good possibilities for a new B2B bike concept!

My donkey frames are produced and assembled in Austria!
Unique possibilities of corporate branding
My Donkey offers in the B2B area all models as eBike but also without electric drive with 8-speed shift or singlespeed.
The frames are tested to ISO standard and weather resistant

ebike in german E is for Esel.

actually i think the name is short for the somewhat pejorative label for fahrrad.
typically invoked by noncyclists i.e. peds & cagers to show their disdain by calling them a 'draht-esel'.
the first part is being left unspoken & generally understood as implied.
similar in sentiment but just differing in aspect it's like when referring to someone as lycra is closest comparable i can think of.

^^ Hehe... Funny mixed up Europeans (their languages...) "English" a real polyglot eg with lots of Scandinavian ("Viking") thrown in there. Gotta imagine "German" is also pretty "mixed up". "English" borrows lots from the French too (one eg their "parliament") my own "English" name taken from Celts on the islands of the "Britons" ("Italian"/Roman term...)

Just another "mixed up" European here :D
I agree, some translators are horrible.
Hopefully my own English is better.
About wooden bicycles:
Here is a nice project from a guy nearby.
He is an architect and builds wooden velomobiles (faired recumbent tricycles) in his free time.
There's a mile long thread in the German velomobilforum about his builds.
https://www.velomobilforum.de/forum/ind ... ise.38648/
Currently he's into his fifth build.
The first project was a 40+kg test mule for determining the needed ergonomics and material dimensions, which ended as an Easter fire :?

Build2 (around 32kg) can be seen here:

This is build3 during some airflow tests.

His fourth build, now tipping the scale at 22kg:
Velomobil in Holzbauweise

All three completed builds are driven by himself and his sons.
I met him a few weeks ago at his home, talking for some hours about his building techique which is close to what was used in wooden airplanes almost a century ago.
Most impressive to me was his test work of some sort of "wood comb": He made a sandwich using two sheets of 0.6mm thin airplane plywood with 3mm thick balsa strips glued in between. This results in a weight of just 1000g/m², but is rock solid.
Also impressive to see, how he reduced the weight further and further from build to build.

Only flaw for you is, you have to use a translator for the said German thread.

Doggone, how do they build those wood forks? I had the idea to use a large gate hinge, haven't experimented with it.
