Endless Sphere's favorite jester has died. Stomach cancer got him.

Kim was one of ES's colorful characters. He was disabled from a motorcycle accident and stuck with having to use a wheelchair, but that didn't stop him from making one of the most beautiful etrikes around. He was a man of character and didn't take any shit from anybody. The guy had a tough life but never let it get to him.

RIP Kim

Didn't know the man, but looking at that trike... he contributed to the coolness of the world, that's for sure.

The fingers said:
Prayers for his family and friends. The soldering iron is passed.
In AJ’s case that would have been the MIG welder and the angle grinder also.....his favorite tools ! :D
Sad loss to all his close friends, family , as well as those of us who knew him for his contributions here.

Sad to hear, AJ (Kim Dybing) was a very supportive builder who answered many questions from new members. He had a great sense of humor. His builds were one of the reasons I started writing about ebikes, to make sure that these builds didn't fade into obscurity.

An interview with Kim about his accident.

Here is his build that had a 2-speed transmission that was built from scratch by ES member Thud.
