Should I upgrade? Currently--- about 2 years old...
500-1000 watt direct drive rear hub motor will work will operate with 36-48v battery. gently used 48v lipo 8 amp battery using nano cell technology. battery pack is built using 2 6s turnigy nano cell packs in series to achieve 48v. ( hitec multi charger x1 ac plus) to charge and balance the battery pack included with bike.

OK ,now that that is done. MY 800w 36v DD motor has over 8000 miles on it. DD motors last. The batteries are what wear out first.

Is there any reason you want a new setup other then you would like something new?

Put some statorade in it and a 40 amp controller. Have some fun with it.
