Back in the day.... There was a huge push to adopt one chip or another... As code was not nearly as portable. Hardware? Don't Care. Community support? Priceless.
The more we work together the higher level we can solve on.
I started with assembly language... When "microcontrollers" had 16 pins and had to be UV erased, then EE erased... Then emulators... Then we started just bootloading... Oh life is easy now.
