Hey Guys,

What is the widest rim I can have if I use an 18x2.75 Shinko 241 tire?
I got the 19" tire version on my 19x1.85 rim and the real width is 3.2"
You think I can use 2.15" rim? can I go even wider?

All the 2.75 tires call out for a 1.85 rim but I'll tell you you can use a 2.15, it's just not needed but would allow the tire to expand a bit.

Personally if it was me I'd run a 3.50 with an 18" rim since that would fit on the Vector frames....it's what I wanted for my QS205 but wasn't available for the dirt cheap price I got. It would just add so much more of a plush feeling with a heavy motor. 3.00 minimum in my opinion. https://www.shinkotireusa.com/product/sr241-series/211922 make sure to hit the red "advanced specs" tap on the right side. I run the Shinko SR241's front and rear. On front I have the 19 x 2.75 and it measures 3.15 knob to knob on a 1.6 rim. On the rear I have a 17 x 3.00 on a 1.6 rim and it measures 3.375 knob to knob.

The link (clicked the red link) doesn't show any information about rim size...only load index and such...

Screen shot..... see the recommended rim size in the middle?

So on my tires it recommends a 1.85 but I have 1.6's. A wider rim would be way better to flatten the tread out. I think 2.15 would be aweome.

Ok, now I see this column, don't know why I didn't before...anyway, it says 1.85 but I measured the tire on my 1.85 and the tire is not 2.75 it's actually 3.2, so can I use a 2.15 for it to make the tire narrower (and also make the thing look a bit cooler)?

A 2.15 rim will make the tire flatter across the middle tread. It's not going to get narrower at all.....not sure what your asking there.

When you have a narrow rim it makes sides stick further outside and the opposite when using a wide rim...
Anyway, I like the look of a wider rim so the question that remains if it is possible since the manufacturer recommend 1.85
