"It's in the order of about $26 million right now. That'd be roughly enough for charging systems and somewhere between 10 and 15 buses," said Davies.

only cuz dedmunton already did ...
this only decades after they sold off their electric trolley fleet to the chinese.

good news is, just wait for the second multi-million$ hit to reinforce the floor of the repair barn.

Sounds cheap. Albuquerque has 100 mil in it, and only two busses delivered, that go half the range they claimed.

I coulda told em figure on using only half the range they claim, but they figured on those busses going the whole day on a charge.

Hehe... Lessee...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calgary_Transit

In 2015, an estimated 110 million passengers boarded approximately 1,176 Calgary Transit vehicles.

... and the WWW says
How Many People Live in Calgary? 1,417,000

So. $26M Beaver Bucks... Meanwhile, the city of Laval in Quebec is offering it's citizens $400 each to buy one new electric bike. Hmmm... $26M/$400 = 65,000 electric bikes. Hmmm.... Costs to add and maintain new transit vehicles and "infrastructure"... about zero. Hmmm... (Hehe... fun with numbers...)

Calgary city hall is a joke, May'whore Nenshi.

Public Art got Calgary the award for 2018.
However there are more
$25M Peace Bridge - Pedestrain Bridge over the Bow River. https://www.therebel.media/calgary_peace_bridge_boondoggle_perfect_symbol_of_government_waste

$30M Olypmic Bid Exploration (Because we all know Winter Olympics ALWAYS makes a profit - NOT!)

$120M Airport Underpass - Six-lane, 620-metre roadway - built beneath the airport's new runway.

Postives are; Bike Lanes Downtown - Trial run $5.75M in 2015 and still going strong, typical bitchin' gassers.
Negatives are; Yet there is still not even 50% of buses have bike racks. I'd say its closer to 20-25% of buses have racks.

I work for TTC in toronto. There hybrid didnt save one drop of fuel lol. Hope the all electric are better
