Mid drive custom chain line

Building a 3000w+ mid drive and would like to replace all the chain with #35 chain. How would I do about making it two speed?

Do a retro-direct 2 speed. You do give up the ability to roll backward though, but otherwise an elegant solution.

BTW, #35 chain seems like noisy overkill for just 3kw. With a good straight chainline and avoiding small sprockets bike chain can handle that power.

Has #35 chain changed? I used that 50 years ago go-kart racing. I know we had to oil but that was with 30hp, not 4.
