Ummm.. Started out in Victoria BC Canada, then sta
Recently got "off track"... as some are want to do [hehe] in a ES thread "Watt is best ebike lighting available?":
https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=60138

... on the relative merits of using duct tape versus boot laces to build/repair/"fix stuff"... in which "some guy" from Canadas Oil Country (prov. of Alberta) described my "fix"/build as "No duct tape used, I am unimpressed, so very very unimpressed."... and "Duct Tape is just cooler (especially if its colored) and everyone knows this as a fact."

Don't wish to debate the relative merits of duct tape versus boot laces... but for example haven't EVen mentioned the Gorilla Tape:

... watt was handy for wrapping 16" wheel tires that were wearing out "too fast"...

Re any Box of Jiffy Fix Stuff, might also reference American Rube Goldberg? (Per Wiki: Reuben Garrett Lucius Goldberg (July 4, 1883 – December 7, 1970), known best as Rube Goldberg, was an American cartoonist, sculptor, author, engineer, and inventor.

Goldberg is best known for a series of popular cartoons depicting complicated gadgets that perform simple tasks in indirect, convoluted ways, giving rise to the term Rube Goldberg machines for any similar gadget or process. Goldberg received many honors in his lifetime, including a Pulitzer Prize for his political cartooning in 1948 and the Banshees' Silver Lady Award in 1959.)

Anything else to throw in the box of Jiffy Fix Stuff?

 Yes offtrack indeed, a tiny bit in the other thread.

Gorilla Tape is the "Top Dog" of Duct Tape / Duck Tape. Sure it is more expensive, you get less per single roll but it is thicker.

Downside for Duct Tape is it doesnt stand up to weather, so I concede my point.
Gaffer Tape could be a good alternative as it comes off with no residue, but may not bold well in the outside, and is probably even more expensive then Gorilla Tape.

To assimilate the best way here is a great article on duct tape.
Duct tape, also referred to as duck tape
During World War II, Revolite (then a division of Johnson & Johnson) developed an adhesive tape made from a rubber-based adhesive applied to a durable duck cloth backing. This tape resisted water and was used as sealing tape on some ammunition cases during that period.

But to stay on track and not get sidetracked, Zip Ties are great for a "Jiffy Fix" as your thread title is named.
No not all zip ties are created equal, I have been through bags and bags and bags of 100 pack. Home Depot's brand "Commercial Electric" sucks big time! And no, dont even think of dollar store zip ties, or HarborFreight/PrincessAuto. Go to a real store specializing in fasteners and tools and there you will find top quality zip ties that will last and not disengage.

"duck tape"... not wishing to tape down any small animals... will go with DUCT...

Better start a list. In know pecular order:
Duct Tape
Boot Lace
Zip Ties (Good one! Have used to "tape" electrical wires to bike frames...)

... and wish to add a length of plastic ("rubber") hose. Like EG sold as a water gardening hose. Found handy once setting up an office on the back lawn in a six person tent. Needed to string a fifty foot long outdoor extension cord from the house and didn't wish to leave it lying in a long string along the ground. But using a tree branch was able to string the electrical wire through the piece of hose by hanging the hose from that branch (see "boot lace") Then had a tent with lights and music, etc plus WiFi internet access from the house. For the internet addicted. :)

Then had a tent with lights and music,
You meant a 5 woman + one man tent with lights and music, and a stripper pole

Better start a list. In know pecular order:
Duct Tape
Boot Lace
Zip Ties (Good one! Have used to "tape" electrical wires to bike frames...)
Cut up bits of Tire Inner Tube for, well whatever. Elastic bands, thin bungy cords
