Contactor connection pole

Hi guy,

I would like to know is it matter about connecting the right pole A1 and A2 in contactor ?
I got Kilovac LEV200. Will contactor destroy if connect wrong pole , I saw A1 and A2 with + - marked on it.
What is happen if connecting wrong side of the pole ?

These contactors have a magnetic blowout. That's an internal magnet to direct or lessen the arc. As such, they are polarity sensitive. The direction of the arc diversion is reversed if the current flows the opposite direction. Reverse polarity may just shorten life or worst case will cause the contacts to weld closed.
