You are welcome to ask questions and we are glad to start conversation with such a great community.

Fantastic first post!

KTM: What cells are you using? How is the throttle response with that controller?

Surron: How much does it weigh? What cells are you using? Steel link for the shock linkage?

Thanks!
in KTM we used NCM 55Ah, like this:

As for throttle response, you know, it might be better but with Magura it's ok, you just have to get used to it.

Sur-Ron weigh is like 65kg, same cells NCM 55Ah.
And yes, steel link for the shock linkage, cause stock has been cracked.

What happened to the #emaha? Was an amazing looking bike. Has everything been moved to what is now the Husqvarna as I see the same motor/controller and battery.

Hello,
Your projects are looking great!

Where do you get your NCM 55Ah cells from? and what current can they handle? Charge and discharge?

Nice builds! What are your impressions of the QS 138 70 motor on that Husqvarna? How is the riding experience compared to the original gas motor?

Hello, thanks!
Cells from China, we have local supplier for cells.

Thanks, Let us bring 21\18" to that Husqvarna and then we can answer :)
For now it goes not worse than 125cc

Super neat conversion indeed! :thumb:

SilentEnduro, how's the qs138 70h (105kg exc) vs qs205 50h (112kg sx) in terms of torque and overheating in this application? Is ca. 400 Nm enough to let you guys lift the front wheel over logs when needed? I mean it's over 105 kg after all. Wheelies possible? 8)

:bigthumb:

In the Votol-Thread, you mention a 2-stage transmission.
How did you make that?
Do you think that this high ratio is required?
obviously, if you even want to use a larger rear sprocket?

I'm going to convert an old KL 250, using a QS 138 with Votol 150, and I'd like to try it single stage.

Very cool bikes and builds. Too bad I don't understand the language in those videos. It would have been cool to hear all the details about the choice of motor, batteries, controllers and what ever else you did modify, replace or swap out. Your english is good, any chance you can do "voice over versions" with english spoken language? Both for the sur ron, husqarna and ktm video, pls?

205 still have better torque, but you need to keep in mind that there is a custom cover for 205 with 15t sprocket.
Wheelies are hardly possible on 138, however on 205 bike can ride away without you if you open full throttle.

here is how 2-step reduction is made:

Tried large rear sprocket for Emaha, 75t is ok for 16", but for 18"-19" I doubt it.
However we have plans to try 138 with 13/75 and 18", a bit later.

for now we made subtitles for most needed videos, later we will try spoken english :)

Tried large rear sprocket
Thanks for the image :)
Looks like an elegant, lightweight solution.
You have good lathe including operator in your team :thumb: ?

Have you tried smaller front sprockets?
Could make live much easier.
Why do you still use the genuine 14T there.

Nice! I look forward to that. I will look one more time, I didn't notice you had subtitles. Maybe I watched an old video or had subs turned off.

Something is not add up for EKTM with 205.
No way it can go 75km/h top speed.

24s = 24x4,2V = ~100V
with 3T+, kv=14,31
at 100V this motor spins 100x14,31=1431rpm. With reduction 3,15 wheel spins 1431/3,15=454rpm.
The wheel size 18" with tyre. C=2PiR. C=2x3,14x0,3m=1,88m (~1,9)
Distance coveret in meters per minute 454x1,9=862m. Per hour 862x60=51756m.
Speed in km/h 51756/1000m=51,7km/h. This is free wheel spining in air speed.

I did this calculation because i have similiar setup.
Exept my motor is 3T-, kv=17,7 reduction ratio ~1,6
At 24S Life ~80V with 18" tyre my speed is 78km/h measured with GPS.
According to my calculation for my setup free wheel speed is 100km/h.
I am vey disapointed with my setup.

hi all, sorry for not being here for a while... new builds...

on EKTM 205 have 17kv, spedtest is possible but... it will be hard to ride road))))) I'll try

no need in smaller sprocket, cause it wears out faster
it's custom modeled sprocket, it fits stock conus shaft

p.s. stay tuned, new builds soon \m/
