So about a month or two ago I bought this off an older gentleman who used this to comute to work decided to retire
He didnt have much info on it but everything still runs pretty smooth.
Living in New York city and using this to commute to work, I now realized I need maybe something with a little more power and wanted to know if anyone has experience with this bike
I'm worming the graveyard shift tonight so I'll definitly be back tonight

it has a normal QS motor on it. so there is probably nothing stopping you from dumping the lead acids and get/make a lithium battery and replace the controller with a kelly KLS-N and control the power and regen. especially in the city you want to ride on regen, not the brakes.

ps: buy something like this: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001737755695.html or this https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001334351837.html (note you get one that works in your area with the right gsm stuff)

for when it gets stolen... hide it in the battery compartment.

Heltec or jikong 24s active bms comes with a gps module so you can track your bike anywhere and knock the power off remotely upto 200amp with a 2amp bleed current its ideal for a moped/bike.

Its also got a can communication port now ive seen the latest 3.3kw on board scooter chargers have a can port i wonder if someone clever could point out how i could get them to talk to eachother because it be nice to have an on board fast for a scooter charger.

One day these rides will come with type 2 230v 32amp fast chargers so its 72v60ah could be turned round flst to full in the hour, but in uk id aim for 3.3kw so i can do it anywhere a plug socket exists so range becomes easy to extend and never have to worry aboit carrying a charger again.

Most bikes have a small compartment for a charger so in there id place a 2m coiled (springy) cable glanded they open out to 6 meters plenty to reach an outlet its got to be solid and waterproof make it as simple as open the flap plug it in bike monitors itself.

edit

Gps tracking only works in china so the heltec site says thats a shame.

These "E-Groms" are a nice looking bike/motorcycle. There's a 70 page thread on another forum describing how they can easily be overvolted by adding either 1 or 2 cheap SLA batteries to go just over 50mph/80kph with the stock controller and a bunch of other mods.

You can also use alot of the ICE Honda Grom parts like tires, brake parts, etc.

I recently got one and use it for travelling to work sometimes and also around town.
