Hey all,
I have had a Citycoco 1000W for a month now and I've run into some bumps and stuff thus far. Now, the throttle does nothing when I started it earlier. No sign that anything gets through to the motor.
I am not yet sure what I'm looking at with the speed controller and the throttle wires.
Someone want to help me guess what to do first?
I checked -
The lights come on
The brake isn't stopping the motor I don't think
The battery light, etc are not effected by turning the throttle

I was on dirt roads earlier and may have jarred something loose.
Would be grateful for any advice!

Thanks. :)

now i see that my right hand brake fluid is empty.
earlier this week a little black nub on the side of the wheel broke.
could it be that the fluid left through that and now the scooter knows not to start without its brake functioning..?

just google 'citycoco' for pics.
i have now replaced the throttle and the speed controller, but it didn't fix the problem.
so, those connections are OK.
however, it looks like to me that the throttle doesn't get power of any kind testing with the multimeter. before with the old throttle/controller and now with the new throttle and cable and controller the throttle still has no discernible current whether on or off.

mine is this model -

it seems kind of like a thing where the controller shuts down.
does someone know the different circumstances when that happens?
when the brakes are stuck on, but what about when the brakes are disconnected?
if the tire is flat? if something is wrong with the battery voltage?

i am beginning to suspect the headlight/key part - is there a way to bypass that to test the throttle?

hey - i repaired the flat and low tire and that let the motor start immediately..
now though, it keeps stopping right away with a sort of ca-lunk sound..
if i sort of press of the rear brake and stop then pick up the rear wheel the engine goes and goes, but as soon as its on the ground - ca-lunk - no throttle like before..

Hello

I know it's a silly question but have u checked the hall connectors and phases? And if the cable connected to the engine looks good

JUST FOUND SOMETHING!
The rear brake clunks around unlike the front one. I can move it left right with my hand around the disc.
What should I do?
I tried moving the one bolt under rubber (my little rubber bubble broke before this.) All that did though was loosen it more.

It seems like the motor keeps hitting one of it's safety shutoffs..

the old controller is just sitting here.
i have two theories now - 1. one of the hall cables or sensor has trouble or 2. the key switch is not turning on anything past the headlight and battery meter properly.
either when it bumps a tiny bit the hall sensor goes off wrong or perhaps the voltage comes on, but a little bump or change in voltage is enough to shut down one part.

yes.
you see how i inflated the tire and immediately the motor came back to life. now, each time i start moving it stops?
that is where i am puzzled and it is hot here each day trying to deal with it. :x

yes. it is totally normal then.
i have this new suspicion - i didn't get the tire REALLY tight with inflation. i was kind of in a hurry in the middle of the night.
i will go to another gas station with air. the station i used had a pressure gauge, but it never popped out.
i will report back if that solves the problem.

thanks for the guidance so far..

I STILL NEED HELP. :x

I had the tire repaired at a shop, but the motor function did not return.
Someone want to private message or take a phone call maybe?

There's a little blue light blinking inside the scooter's batt meter/headlight/keyswitch..!?
Is that just it's Bluetooth powered on? Also, the first LED on the batt meter is slightly off - like it only glows in the side of the "1" area...?

The brake switches are very suspect to me, but I don't know all of their failsafe abilities or how to adjust the brake cables accurately by sight.

I have someone coming to take a look in a few minutes here I hope. I'll report back if this gets solved.
Thanks for the aid so far all! :)

I have decided to replace the motor/tire. Does anyone know a link to order it?
60V 1000W

I got it running again! The green wire in the red/blk/grn connection to the key/bat/headlight was completely loose.

Now though, it has a power loss kind of situation. In low gear it creeps along OK, then slowly reaching high gear it starts to rattle and buzz shaking the whole frame.

What should I try with this? Remember - I replaced the motor/wheel by myself. It is as if the wheel isn't balanced correctly. Should I take it to a tire place? It might be like $100 for them to look..
