I am designing a 36-72V DC, 5KW (continuous) BLDC/PMSM motor controller with hall sensor inputs from scratch. One of the target motors for this controller would be something like this motor. The intended application for this controller are e-scooters, go-karts etc.
I would like your input on requirements for this controller. What are the pain points/issues/difficulties with existing controllers such as Sevcon and Kelly Controllers?
