Switching to lithium, looking for ideas for a gauge cluster.

I started this post over here:

I still don't know much about scooters, but I figure if I need to get a new battery, I may as well get lithium as I found these on eBay:

36V 18650 Pack Samsung

36V 18650 Pack LG

Not sure which is better, but I'll probably go with 2 or 3 of those packs in parallel. I know that Lithium generally has a very flat discharge curve so the built it "fuel meter" on the izip 1000 won't work until the battery is almost dead. I've seen some stuff before on youtube videos that look nice:

However since I'm so new to this, I have no idea even what to search for for something like this. This gauge has four sections (Battery Voltage, Watts used, Speed in MPH, and Total AH used). I'd be fine with just AH used, and maybe a graphical gauge showing Fuel to Empty. Any pointers on where I could pick up something like this? Thanks!

Get a meter called the cycle analyst. You can often pick up a used one in the classifieds for around $50. Well worth it.

Thank you, that looks to be the one I posted above. Thanks again!

It's also not just a meter--you can set it up to control or limit the motor and/or battery system based on a lot of different things (including overheat protection, etc), if you like.

I just use mine as a power meter and odometer, presently, but eventually I'd like to fix my other one and use it as PAS torque control of my motors.

They also have the older one

that doesnt' have as many control options, but it works just fine as a power meter.
