hi everyone. trying to build an electric lambretta scooter.

Maybe someone can help me out on this.

I was considering trying to use 10 2018 nissan leaf batteries.... but, now might be looking at the samsung i3 batteries, as they are slightly easier to find.

Looking at the specifications of the 2018 nissan leaf battery, it appears that each of their modules has two sub-modules rated at 7.3v & 112.6ah.

Basically 20 modules at 7.3v and 112.6ah

I am using a variation of the motor in the attached link. They are, however, modifying the motor to be sealed with liquid cooling. They are also modifying the maximum rpm to 2000.

My question is related to the configuration of the batteries into the correct voltage.

Another question is in regards to the motor set up. On the facebook page, it was suggested to have the motor reconfigured to 144v 2000rpms at 13kv. for a 25kw motor set up. The company I am working with will reconfigure to water cool and change rpms and the rest. Thanks.

So I just received a reply from the motor manufacturer. I think they might have some confusion about the build, as I already explained the size of the wheel and why I needed 2000rpms.

It was recommended on the endless sphere facebook page that I go with 144v and 14kv to get to the rpm I need.

Here is what they are asking:

Hello Paul,

I have questions below:

You want this motor more torque or more power?
If you want more power, why you need so slow RPM?
If you want more torque, why you want to choose so high power.

Would you please let me know more details of your application? Can you share me your last scooter motor rpm and power? And what voltage you used for?

Being a gas engine guy, I am a little unclear on my answers for this.

so i finally have the rim. it is boxed and ready to go to china. i have a new mock up. hopefully we can get to the next step
