Can I use an inverter generator to power my e-bike?

Can I use an inverter generator to power my e-bike? I have an Emmo Zone S (motorcycle Style e-bike) 72V/20ah Gel SLA. If an inverter generator works, does anyone have any recommendations?

The big disadvantage will be hauling around the trailer with the generator on there, for a large enough generator to get motorcycle power levels.
