So earliest on March next year I will be ready to test it.

Well there were two weekends where snow was falling but only for 2 days.
At the moment we have around 8 degrees and no snow.
I als get now my new huge lightweight tire from Hoosier (Continental).
It was not easy to mount it on the rim.
At the end we shot it three times to fit him on 7bar, 10 bar and another time for 10 bar.
In parallel you see a Standard rim from GSXR in 6x17“ with 190/50-17“.
The Hoosier will normally used as Car Front Drag Tire!

It looks very nice hehe you should be a hero to fit this huge tyre into this rim then!
I have a question, Do you need such a big diameter tyre to have a higher maximum speed? On the other hand you will have less accelaration/torque right?

I've had some frustrations fitting tyres in the past; but I've never resorted to shooting them :)

Well I will reduce voltage from 175V to only 125V DC.
So therefore with the huge tire I will end now on 198 kph @ no load speed, so I guess to get around 160 kph @ load.
But I am able to double the phase amps now.
From 400A with KLS 14401 to 800A Emsiso controller.
So I hope to get a better acceleration!

Btw I finished today with rebuilding

- lower the front fork additional 2cm
- install the watercooler and water pump.
- install the foot rest
- create new construction for controller and battery pack

Love your work, the blue rearsets look great against the black, you just keep making this thing more awesome. Will you have enough torque to warm the rear tyre with a burnout? Or is that not a problem?

Thanks a lot,
I hope now that up to 800A will be enough to burn out the tire and 42kg hubmotor.
But I will start first with less current, only to be sure not to braai the motor!
Well the torque should be around 400-500Nm and I hope also a little bit more.
But this is less regarding an Original GSXR in 1st gear (around 1000Nm).
So at the moment I will have absolutely no chance against an original GSXR ... but story will be continue in future!
In the meanwhile I can play with this vehicle ;-).
I am not in hurry, the day will come I will hopefully have enough power to kill a GSXR :wink:
But therefore I have to change back to middrive.
Well manufacturer of controller said that this controller is good for 100kW peak but I do not really know how they will calculate it. I think it is not so easy to multiply the 125VDC of max. battery voltage with the 800 phase amp.
But we will see. I have a current measurement device which can handle up to 1500ADC and I will put it to battery side to see how many current and voltage will be flow during acceleration.
Also the controller have a recording function for different values.
Hopefully I can start with first test´s by End of March ... depends on weather conditions here in GER during this periode.
BTW with 400A and 600A Kelly controller it was only possible to burn out on grass ground, not on street.
I think the weight of hubmotor is to much!

Strange, your 1/4 mile time is slower than Arlo1's (12.8 sec) but your power to weight is roughly the same I guess (he has 300kW)... any idea what the reason for this is ?

Phase current is the reason!
With KHB14601 controller (600A) I got the best time but have a lot of problems with managing to avoid controller cut out´s which costs time, also top speed is not so high (156kph)!
With KLS14401 controller I got a higher top speed (172 kph) but 400A phase current is too less for the heavy hubmotor and motorcycle.
Well I think it´s a big different to bring 40kg hubmotor or I don´t know Arlo1´s hubmotor weight but I think less into rotation.
So let´s wait what 800A controller will do ...

Ah, ok, well as I said let´s wait for 800A controller and new results. Top speed will be lower but acceleration much better!

I guess it is input power vs output power, so the efficiency of the motor.
It would be interesting to know how much of the power will be turned into heat at 400-500Nm.

The 2.5 tire is for the 3.5 front rim.
The hubmotor has a 4.5 rim where the the "little" 4.5 Hoosier is already installed.
I also know that for drag racing my 160/60-17 tire will be a better option!
But regarding the design I really like the fat tire at rear wheel (hubmotor).
It´s more show and shine at the moment ;-) and absolutely ok for me.

The 17" rim is the problem. My 15kg hubmotor almost matches your performance. That's because I run a 13" rim with the lowest profile tire available for a 19.25" OD wheel. Of course I have the advantage of a 6 phase winding instead of 3 phase, so it's easier to get current from 23 controllers than the same total from any 1 controller. Your motor probably has at least 3 times the torque potential due to the greater working radius of the magnets along with more width, but my smaller wheel still overcomes most of your advantage.

Yes, I think also that your motor is faster in acceleration at the moment cause of the effect by having 6 phase connection. A long tme ago you told me that your bike is running over 180 kph but you need near to a mile to get this top speed, isn´t it?
