Exceeding BMS amper rating... does it switch off or limit?

I have two cheap 14s BMS from China. 30A balancing and 40A unbalanced. I am not sure which to use. The controller is 35A.

Will it switch off the BMS?
Will the BMS limit the output at 30A?

I have fried a balancing board before, that's why I bought the unbalancing one.

Currently I am running an 112 panasonic cells in a 58.8V battery, and after 2 years, the battery is running out of power at only 51V, when it was ok until 47V, and it is generally unreliable. I have measured all the series when the battery was fully depleted, and they were all the same voltage, around 3.5, So i'm having issues with an unbalanced BMS, I don't know what to use for my new battery.

Some advice would be welcome.

The BMS may prevent operation outside the battery's safe operating area by:

Including an internal switch (such as a relay or solid state device) which is opened if the battery is operated outside its safe operating area.

TL:DR The BMS just acts as a switch, so it can't limit the current.
