If it works as advertised, it would pretty much solve energy storage problems for vehicles. Even light aircraft are already available with current Lithium tech, just think what it'd be like with batteries that are 15 - 20 times better.

Don't hold your breath since it is 5 years away from production.

It's frustrating to watch all these new battery technologies emerge in laboratories and have to wait years for them to appear on the market... that is, assuming they actually ever do. :(
 
Actually the problem isn't the storage, Lifepo4 is good enough. But $30,000 or more for a car sized pack is a definite problem for the average guy. It won't matter to me if a new technology fits in half the space if the battery now costs $60,000. I'd love it in other things though, like a cell phone, or Ipod.
