Hi!

Is there any problem to use my kingpan charger designed for a 16s lifepo4 battery (52v) for a 14s li-ion battery (52v) made of 18650 cells? I can adjust the voltage of the kingpan

Thanks

Both chemistries are charged by cc/cv, so it should work especially since you can adjust the voltage. That's how i charge all my lifepo4 and li-ion with a cc/cv charger and they get an excellent charge.

lifepo4 16s(x 3.65) would be 58.4 max charge, li-ion 14s(x 4.2) would be 58.8 max charge, even without voltage adjustment its almost about the same, the li-ion would be a little (4.17 volts per cell) under the max but thats good for longetivity.

The difference between lifepo4 and li-ion for top charge lifepo4 can get away with a little over charge and li-ion hates it. Most lifepo4 BMS balanceing at 3.6v but 3.5v is full. Li-ion eats itself in keep at 4.2v.
So to say.. lifepo4 has a flater discharge curve or keeps a higher voltage longer.
