Sur-Ron Charger wired Backward?

I put an xt60 on plugged it in grabbed DMM and got this

where the red wire comes into the charger this is where it goes into the board

I emailed Luna, waiting for a reply, but I also noticed some soot on the white connector that comes from the 2 signal wires on the chord. is that a temperature switch on the charge chord?



I don't think there will be any warranty on this since ive opened it up i guess ill see what the soot is about.

no soot on the plate, all pins are fine and nothings burnt, maybe it was black felt?

held in fingers numbers drop the warmer it gets, let go numbers go back up


seems to work, the other little red and black seems to go to fan

if I stick my dmm in the xt60 and do the jump start test, I can jump start the charger just like in the video, lights will flash fan will kick on but I cant get a volt reading because theres no battery. heres the video

actually, I should be able to prove black/negative through continuity

this black/negative? of xt60 and the black wire of temperature switch, it has continuity

Luna is priceless, i sent them the picture asking if the red charge wire is positive and they said, WE DONT KNOW BUT YOU PROBABLY FRIED THE CHARGER, thats hilarious, i havent plugged a battery to it yet :lol:

i pulled the potting compound, red wire is positive
