I've been out of the game for a while but am in need of a 48v lifep04 pack for a portable inverter power unit I have. Something 30-50AH ideally. Load max of maybe 30A, but more like 5-10A nominal. I found a place "btrbattery.com" that seems to have some affordable packs but am a bit nervous to buy from any random Asian supplier. And of course there's tons or stuff on ebay but same thing there. Not sure if these folks are using garbage cells or a garbage BMS.

I looked for suppliers of the calb 40AH or 60AH cells but don't even see anywhere in the US that carries them. But in that case I'd need to add a BMS and build the actual pack this the thinking that a 48v ebike pre-built pack might be simplest. I don't mind paying for convenience if it's not too bad. But I wouldn't rule out building my own pack so long as I don't need to weld.

What are the currently trusted cell and pack suppliers these days?

Thanks.

Grin is trustworthy.

Some trust Luna and em3ev.

IMO best value is to self-import quality Grade-A cells in bulk from a trusted Asian vendor.

Then ask around for a good custom pack builder on the same continent as you.
