Hey,

Battery in question https://batteryhookup.com/products/hp-43-2v-module-with-24x-30a-lg-18650-cells

Would it be ok to parallell a few of these without the case and make two of these packs for serie connection for 88v~ nominal battery? Battery seems alot cheaper than I could find elsewhere online for high discharge application.
Theres no dimensions on the website so another question is how many of these packs I can parallell with the dimensions below?
Tried to google but couldn't find anything..

20.7cm wide
7.5cm deep
43.3 tall

And another question would be if anyone could recommend a decent spotwelder? Say from amazon or the like, I know nothing, dont think I would like to spend more than 100usd - I dont see myself building batteries as a hobby.. more means to an end.

Best regards

Not sure what you mean here. Wire in parallel to double capacity (Ah), wire in series to double V.

Why not ask vendor for the dimensions?

These packs are 2x2 and 6 cells long. That would be at least 36x36mm and 390mm long just for the cells, which are 65mm long and 18mm in diameter. Figure the case is like somewhat less than 2x2 inches square, and maybe 17-18 inches long.

Because each stick is only 3AH, you would need to put them in parallel to get any range on an ebike,

You can't put them in series. It's a fire hazard. This is why.

You could pull off the existing BMS, make your combo of parallel and serial, and add a 24S BMS. I wouldn't do it because 100V DC can be lethal.
