Using DIN Rail Power Supplies as Meanwell Current Limiting

I was cruising through ebay. I was wonder has anyone ever thought about using the small DIN Rail power supplies as chargers or as external current limiting devices.

They are adjustable and feature constant current limiting. Put it in series with your supply and you have a current limited charger with no modifications to the supply.

sounds to me it just shuts down if to much current is pulled and resets when current drops to an acceptable valve. would be ideal if it really functioned with CC if you try one let us know or if any one can confirm they do have a constant current function please chime in.
 
these are NOT constant current. they will simply shut down.
