after spending the last 2 days tracking down info here is what i got...
5 cells per battery
each cell is 6000mah
bms good to 30amp
the supplyer also making ebike battery
these bats have manganeeze
not a standard cell eg. subc,d,m
same as ibm or lenova
also found out that they are expanding line to include a chainsaw
hope this answers some of the questions untill someone opens these up and has a look

ps forgot to add 3.0volts per cell(18v)tech told me more like 3.2 per cell....and the charger
charges at 21volts and 0.75amps

Chainsaw. Hmmmmmm.....

Battery.
Motor.
Chain.

Thanks!

are you sure it is 5 batteries per pack... it would make sense to be 6

i was told 5 cells per pack...i said the same thing and was told they(cells) were more like 3.2 volts each
the only way to know for sure is to dissmantle one?
it took alot of effort to get tech to release some specs
had to give home number and get called back...they were worried about trade secrets i guess
i even told there tech why i wanted these specs...ebike bats
on monday i will try for more bms specs...think they would release there scematics...lol
the only way is to ask ...nicely

Interesting.
5 cells of LiMnCo would fully charge to 21volts, but with a cell voltage of 3.7 nominal. it would realy be a 18.5V batt, but could be labled in the Dewalt theory of labling 33v batts as 36V

Any USA source for these batteries?????

This yard works battery pack looks like the Craftsman Professional lithium 20 volt battery pack. I tried to open up one of my packs. But, there is a pin in the middle of what looks like a torz head screw so a regular torx will not go into the head of the screw. I am going to try and drill out the center of a torx and see if I can get inside. These power pack sell at sears for $89.99 and the charger for $39.99.

Hey RB cats! Its a security torx! They sell appropriate bits in auto stores and Harbor Freight! Dont drill!

not the same bat
only 2.2ah not the 6ah of the yardworks
and you need the security bits

Two questions about these battery packs:

1) If you put a voltmeter on the pack contacts, what do you get?
The reason I ask is that some li-ion packs have bms that doesn't
allow discharge unless there is some (proprietary/unknown)
communication with devices. So basically, after they are
charged, will they discharge by simply hooking up pos and neg?

2) How much does each battery pack weigh?

Thanks

the tech told me it's closer to 19volts kinda like dewalts being "really" 33volts instead of 36
i never tested it myself (voltage)
these bats have 3 termanals...so i think you can
and the wieght is 3lb3oz...it's got a nifty battery gage and is rubberized
i can't wait to dig in and test these...especially the bmc(30 amps i'm told)

I've been busy lately and haven't had the time to take my pack apart. Hopefully I can do something in the next few days.

Is there anyone in the Toronto area that might want to try opening my pack to take a look?

Our Bike shop just got (2) 20V 6ah Yardwork Batteries, We hooked them up so they are 40V 6ah Kit to a Stock Wilderness Kit. 40 min Run 36.7V@6.12ah per battery at the end of the ride. We will be doing a 6 Pack (3s,3p) = 60V 12ah Kit to a 406 with 20amp Controller. Will tell you how it goes.

Awesome report, thanks so much! Keep the information flowing as it comes in! I wonder how many in series before the BMS blows.
