thanks

i requested for the bms to be 45a continuous.. (its suppose to be 60a max)

is that only good for 45amp controllers or will it work for 50a or 60a? or should i request for 60a instead of 45a?

is the price good and the quality good?

how could anyone know? from the looks of that little toggle switch i doubt if you will get it to carry 60A. but maybe the switch is there to turn the meter on and off. the BMS is identical to the one from BMSbattery. except they leave out a buncha mosfets. too bad you never get to see what they use for cells.

You could check with one of my colleagues over at Toronto Electric Riders Association (TERA).

I believe he purchased 2 a couple of months ago. Not sure how much experience he has had yet.

They state the battery max amps is 40 amps. That, to me, means 2c cells. That, to me, means good for a 20-25 amps controller. You don't want to make your battery max amps the same as your controller amps. Half that is more like it, or at most 75%. So maybe 30 amps controller? Maybe, if you are very careful. But I find careful is rare, so I advise only a 20 to 25 amps controller.

They are not on the vendor to avoid list that I know of. Nice box, but I do wonder what the switch actually does. It won't last if it takes the controller spark.

so is codd power good or bad??? whats if i get it with 3k BMS .. would that be enough for 45amp controller.. or these batteries arent meant for high demand controllers?

I bought a 48v 20ah battery from chong liao from all-lifepo4 on aliexpress so not the exact battery but from the same seller and possibly the same cells. It worked four or five times then it stopped. I took the pack apart and found that the 14th string of six 26650 cells was the problem. five of the six cells had 0v, one had 3.1v. I think it may have been a faulty bms that over charged the string and killed them. I have tried many times to contact the seller and arrange some replacement cells but after a few months of getting no response i have given up. so I would say its risky to buy from this seller and be prepared for no service from them after they have your money.

Here is the link to the battery i bought. http://www.aliexpress.com/item/48V-20Ah-LiFePO4-Battery-1000W-BMS-6A-Charger-FOR-E-BIKE-Free-Shipping/821460991.html
cheers

www.ebikes.ca ,www.em3.com, Or just look up ping. Now many amps is your controller and what voltage. I like 48volts.
I clean it up after download from my phone.

Unless you plan on telling people where you are in every post, do this.
Welcome to ES****Do this before your first post or now (it's retroactive)*****
Please go to the User Control Panel, select Profile, and then enter your city, state/province, and country into the Location field (country minimum) and save it. This will help people help you. Example: Wylie, TX, USA. or just USA, but country as a minimum, and country is the most important. There are many cities with the same name all over the world. Without knowing what country you are in it's hard to make any recommendations. Thank you.

For 5 of 6 cells in parallel to be zero and one 3.1v means simply a bad connection between the parallel cells in that group, so a portion of the cells were doing all the work....maybe a short in one or more of the 5.

or bad contact on the measuring probe.

Very true, but let's hope everyone makes sure that's not the case before fingers hit the keyboard. Just slap me along side of the head if I do that.

Yea I changed the battery on my M,M, to find out the neg. Probe wasn't pluggged in so check all connections before going forward. Slapping myself up side my head gets old I just stomp me feet now.

Cool that's a lot of amps and can only be used for a number of min. at full thutrolle on most motor? You would need an A123. battery from em3ev. for a lifepo4 plug and play. As lipo is hobby battery with big fire and charging concerns.
