What to do with old NEXcell NIMH Chargers

i have never analyzed one but i think they use the change in delta V, it drops, as the cell reaches full charge and starts cooking.

so i do not know how the detection circuit works but it would not be similar to the constant voltage of the lithium chargers at the end for balancing.

yeah, too bad you can't just swap the chip on them. I know ebikes.ca had updated firmware for them at one point, but was just an update form nexcell

Do they have any settings you can adjust?
The NiMH chargers that I designed had settings which you can adjust that
essentially make it into a CC and CV charger that will work for Lithium.

so your design for the nicad charger did not use the negative delta V for endpoint? so you used temperature to terminate the charge?

i still have my 48V nexcell nicad charger so i may open it up to see.
