How to connect lipoly

Hi Guys,

Im new in e bike technology so im kindly asking you for advice on 4x 4s lipoly connection diagram.

First of all i built a cheap e bike for day to day transport to job and for start i used only 2x 4s lipo, that setup gave me about 16 km range without my help.

Will this work??

I Will connect this four charging (green) wires and twenty balance wires to 24 pin hi current connector that Will be used for charging so that balancing Will be done with every charge.

Your diagram hard to understand. To me at least.

You are going for 28v, or 8 cells in series, 8s.

You can connect two packs in parallel first. Connect them in parallel at big wires using some type of Y connection. It can be permanent, or you can make Y adapters that just plug to the pack. Do the same thing with the 5 balance wires.

Now you have a larger 4s pack, with 5 balance wires. Make two of them.

Now you can connect the main wires in series. Connect the + of one set to the - of the other set. Now you have an 8s pack. the remaining wires are connected to the controller.

The balance wires can also be combined in series. leaving you with one 9 pin, 8s balance plug for the entire pack. Then the entire pack can charge and balance with an 8 s RC charger.

How does the two 5 pin plugs become a 9 pin plug? The first black pin of the second balance plugt makes a y connection to the last + wire on the balance plug of the first pack.

Thank you for your help. I only have charger for max 6s.

I will install switch where now fuse is and will charge like two 4s battery.

The pack you plan on, get an 8s charger. They can still be pretty affordable, in the 150w models.
