Round 2 of Icecube57 HK Lipo Battery Testing (Please Donate)
This is Icecube57 AKA Christofer Parham at Lipo Connection Solutions. Im doing another round of battery testing of some of the HK lipo again. I need help from the community to bankroll this effort.
I currently have packs on order. I understand peoples reservation about donating money and such. (2) people donates $70 Bucks total. I waited and no one else came forward. So I decided to go out on faith and pull the trigger and hope you guys come through once I show I was serious about this testing I bought the following packs to get us started.
Turnigy Graphene Professional 3000mAh 3S 15C LiPo Pack w/XT60
Turnigy Graphene 3000mAh 3S 65C Lipo Pack w/XT90 (AR
Turnigy Bolt 2200mAh 3S 11.4V 65~130C High Voltage Lipoly Pack
B-Grade 3000mAh 2S 40C Lipoly Battery (AR Warehouse) 1
Multistar LiHV High Capacity 3000mAh 3S Multi-Rotor Lipo Pack
Turnigy nano-tech 3000mah 3S 25~50C Lipo Pack (AR Warehouse)
Turnigy 3000mAh 3S 20C Lipo Pack (AR Warehouse) 1
Shipment SmartAR Fedex (Zone 4) US$10.98
Total US$174.89
Bonus points used: $9.94
Total After Bonus Points $164.95

If you could donate some funds to help bridge the gap and possibly foot the bill to purchase some more packs that you might want to see tested.
If you like to send me some cells for testing. That would be great also. I know 18650 is all the rage now. I would love to get some small 5P spot welded groups of the latest and greatest 18650 for testing.
My test bench can test up to 70A and plot the cell voltage so we can hopefully do an overlay of the different pack types to see how they perform. I bought smaller capacity sized cells so this will artificially increase the C rate in which they are discharged. This should scale up.
What I want to see is does the 1/4 C rule still apply with these new pack chemistries. Meaning if its a 10C pack is it really a 2.5C continuous discharge. And also how well does the cell hold its load and does it stay above 3.5v a cell for the entire discharge and at what C rating is cell being stress too much and is losing capacity or hitting the controllers LVC due to the voltage sag being too great under said load.Example the cell maybe able to deliver for the first 60% of the cells capacity but its unable to hold a high enough voltage under load to allow you to discharge further.
I also bought a nanotech to see how well the Multistar pack would perform being paralleled with a nanotech. Can you have a Low C discharge pack be augmented by a High Discharge Pack to get better overall performance. You get more Watthours for the price with the Multistar but not performance but If a nanotech could pad the numbers a bit this would be an awesome compromise.

As the first donor to this effort, I would encourage the rest of you to pony up.
We have been well advised by icecube over the years.
Even if you can only afford $5, send it.

Thanks for testing!
Thanks for testing!
Each carcinogen vapor exposure includes a dice roll for cancer.

Thanks for doing the testing icecube, I like your vids and contributions to the community bro.
Very curious of the C ratings on newer packs also. Peace!

I'm excited to see some data. You're potentially saving me test labor/money for my next acrobatic-performance focused FPV quad build. Thank you for your work!

This is the discharge graphs for the 65C Graphene. I will be doing the 15C Graphene next.
Re: Round 2 of Icecube57 HK Lipo Battery Testing (Please Don
I do not recommend Graphene 15C. I got a bad pack but the IR HEAT Generation and cheap construction.. they didnt waste to much money on this cause I have a feeling they probably knew it was up to no good.

Do thry keep performance over cycles? Most important for graphene is how they keep performance over time compared to standard lithium
