bms and spot welder

Post by Builditgood » Oct 20 2016 4:55pm

hi. 1, am looking to buy a spot welder that is a level up from the cheap Chinese ones so that it is within its comfort zone to make quality welds and not need to be rested too often.

and 2 please, am having great difficulty finding a bms for a 80A peak, 50A continuous rating make from either 14s8p 25r pack or a 14s7p GA pack.

many thanks

I think I've found a bms

But i'm still surprised at how few options there seems to be out there. Some help with buying a half decent spot welder would be really appreciated.

Thanks again

The best spot welder you can get for less than a few thousand dollars is one of these. You can't buy them at the moment but they're not hard to build and cost < $50 USD (plus car battery) without probes.

Works good, but you will have to provide a power board, leads, and a car battery.

Thanks all. Have contacted Pguk and he's going to sell me a spot welder in due course. I really like the bms you are selling Circuit - the most compact I've seen - I might well be in touch shortly. Does anyone else have any recommendations of bms suppliers? Regards
