has anyone gotten one of these and tore it down to see what cells it uses?

for $10 to $15 it seems too cheap to be a single cell.

Very low output rating, so just a simple 10 Ah lipo with a voltage converter .
Something like one of their Mulistar 2 C cells probably ?
You could even make 4 of them from this one pack..for ~ $40

thats why i was hoping someone would have bought one and opened it up to see whats inside.

I bet that has three 18650 cells inside. Just like the similar devices you see everywhere now days. One cell and two cell ones are in most stores these days. Larger ones a bit harder to find.

i guess no one is up to sacrificing some money to tear down one

ok i will be buying one today.

update: while looking at the dimensions

Size: 128x76x16mm

18650 could easily fit the length leaving enough room for additional ones along the width too.

16 mm is not enough room for 18mm unless it bulges the case or they are crushed to oval

so that is why i think a block or pouch.

also i dont know if you can call 18650s lipo

?? Why the interest ?
It cannot be a very "special" cell, low output, etc...probably just "c" grade stuff..
And it is not very good value $/Wh ?
Multistar's are much better and cheaper
So unless you need a USB back up,.....why bother ?
