Hi,

I have 48V (maximum can reach circa 56V) 15.5 Ah Li ion battery. Could anyone suggest best voltmeter to measure capacity of my battery (as I ride) as accurately as possible?

Thank you,

David.

For best accuracy of capacity, you want a wattmeter, not a voltmeter.

The "best" one I've used is the Cycle Analyst from Grin Tech http://ebikes.ca , but you can look around the forums for watt meter or wattmeter and see lots of types and information on them.

You can also try for start this ultra lowcost voltmeter/"capacity calculator" http://www.ebay.com/itm/291929539257?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT I have one for 16s LFP pack and it works well. I am using it as a simple indicative voltmeter.

I use these:

Cheap as dirt, measures Wh (and voltage).

I've never had to pedal home with a dead battery.

Got this combo meter too. Works very well. Recently ordered something similarbut a little bit more sophisticated (still waiting for the mail...)
looking good : http://www.ebay.ca/itm/DC-Battery-120V-100A-LCD-Voltage-Current-Watt-Power-capacity-Digital-Combo-Meter-/172281588037?hash=item281cc86945:g:dhoAAOSwARZXkJJe
It's a bit more expensive, but sophisticated. Some reviews on Youtube sold me.
