Does anyone have experience?
Looking for free... Is it a trick?
I have no desire to get to the specific part number or footprint level. I do need to capture details like MOSFETs, diodes, mosfet drivers, uC (block), multipin connectors.
I do not like online based tools
I am looking for something as easy as the whiteboard... Where I can stay high level for known circuits (like... "The Arduino") - where I keep those as blocks with no detail and drop super low level for circuits of interest (like... Lowside switching circuit)... Where I want to capture design details like single or bi-directional TVS diodes, Nchannel trench fet, ..
I want to highlight things like grounding and box off or color different areas.
Basically I want a whiteboard that records and has parts... Many parts.
Between this exercise and layout... Is a great deal of horse trading, specific part numbers, and stuff... That I will capture with a dedicated layout package like Altium or Eagle.
Ideas welcome.
Smart draw, Visio, PowerPoint... I try different things at different times.
This is for a BMS master high level for peer review.
Not super low level... But willing to use low level if it is not clumsy like Eagle.
