Hi guys,

so a friend gave me this power supply for cheap, and I've been wanting to convert it to be able to use it as an add on charger for my 11s Li-Ion pack.

I'm fine with the voltage range (goes down to 41.4 V), so that's okay. The current limits at pretty exactly 18.4 A no matter the voltage (which is a good sign imo, as this means that there's some active component in there limiting it...).

Does anyone have an idea or any experience on what I could do? I've been trying to thin out some of the soldering traces on the back of the board, hoping that the PSU is measuring the voltage drop from one of these, but no difference, current stays the same.

I've uploaded a few pictures here: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B0zOp8yaLgF_am40WDQzbHFoSnc

If I can somehow prevent it, I'd love not having to go down the route of having to use a DC DC step down converter or something like that, as that would be a waste...

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Matt
