Cells sold with pre-soldered tabs

Post by ThierryGTLTS » Feb 11, 2018 7:27 am

Has anyone used Li-ion or LiFePo4 cells sold with pre-soldered tabs :?: :!:

For example http://www.batteryspace.com/lifepo4-326 ... assed.aspx

Or http://www.batteryspace.com/A123-System ... 0-mAh.aspx

That way you don't have to use a spot welder.

Also this seems to be interesting http://www.batteryspace.com/battery-hol ... older.aspx

I plan to do a pack using that method, any advices welcome :!: :!:

NKON will also add tags (either U or Z) to the cells of your choice for +€0.55 per.

Yes, 18650 li-ion from NKON with tags. It works OK but is more work and not as neat as a spot-welded pack and I'm not sure I'd do it again as there is now more choice of spot welder's available.
