Inside an LEV50 prismatic cell

I'm sure you can google this stuff, but here it is for the curious.

This cell was a failed cell from a Mitsubishi iMiEV battery. They are nominally 3.7 volts and 50 Ah.

Interesting that they wound up two separate accumulator piles and fused them in parallel, versus one big one. I guess the form factor might make it a little more energy dense. Alternatively, they may have 25 Ah and 75 Ah options down the line...

It seems there are two versions of this cell ,.
After 2012, the improved GS-YUASA, LEV50N , having a different electrolite..

Aparently there are 75ah, 50ah, and 40 ah versions of the GS Yuasa LEV cells
The Mitsi Outlander PHEV uses a 40 ah version of this cell 80s, 1p config..12 kWh.
