Leaf charger and BMS system together??

Hi
I've bought a leaf battery pack and a leaf charger. So I'm thinking about connecting those two and just using two arduinos with canbus shields (one on the battery and one on the charger) to fool the two. Does anyone know if they communicate with each other through the VCM(vehicle control module) since that would make it impossible to make them work without the VCM.

I'm happy for any thoughts on the subject since I couldn't find any info about it online.(I've even downloaded all the relevant manuals but i still couldn't find any information about it.)
