Spending extra $$ on a quality bms will save you major headaches in the future...
I'm done with s%+t bms's....man they give me so much trouble.
Build in a heap of redundancy, so for example, if you need 90amps continuous , get a 150amp bms.
Cheap and crappy bms's will get hot and burn out at about 1/2 their rating. You can mod them, but why bother, get a good one to start with.
 
Why would you say those LiTech BMS are better?
They look exactly like the generic Chinese stuff you get from AliExpress.
It's literally got nothing that excites me.
No external contactor option. No external current sensor. No high current option. No data interface.

US seller is a plus.

PS: 90A is a good choice for 3kW for peak demands. Don't cheap out on that. Your nominal 40A won't get you far. ;)
