Help with China battery pack

I bought this battery pack for my hub motor ebike. I am guessing that the red and black bare wires will connect to the
controller on the ebike. What is the single (black plug) wire for?? The 36v charger?

Oh dear... I don't have very high hopes for this thread... :pancake:

Red and black are standard negative and positive, yes they connect to the red and black controller.

Single black plug I can only assume is the charge port. Picture? What battery? From where? What brand? Voltage? Capacity? Charger? Etc...

Double check the battery polarity to ensure it is correct before connecting to your controller.

Not sure if it for charger, why can't you charge thru the single wires.

Because that particular BMS was designed with a separate Charge port.
If you decide to charge from the thick wires it will not cut the charge current if a cell is out of balance.
Which will cause rapid cell degradation and or flames.

You can get them with the same charge and discharge ports if you want.
You could also replace it with a different BMS.
But unless you know what you are doing I recommend you use it as it is.
