Vedder VESC

Is anyone using or have experience with the Vedder ESC as supplied by MayTech in a sealed aluminum case? I ask because I would like to know how sealed it is and will it be okay in wet muddy weather in and e-bike. They claim it is sealed, but I just received mine and it appears not to be fully sealed.

I haven't used the maytech one but if it is anything like the Flipsky one it means the lid on the case has an O-ring. The pcb itself won't have any conformal coating and water can still track inside the case through the connectors and wires.
