Hey all,

I have 2 x 72V 65A 18Fet 4000W Controllers of this type:

One is in use & the other one would be ready for some upgrades(;

My thoughts where because of the nice housing/heatsink it would be a good platform to experiment with higher power levels(;


Changing the standard MDP1991 Fets with 4.4mOhm Rdson should be a good start I think. Are there any specific parameters of the new fet what I should look out for regarding the existing gate drive & control circuit like Qg, Ton/Toff delay
& Rise Time, etc.? Or are the most control circuits "universal" being able to handle all kinds of different types of Fets?
