New E-bike lost motor drive after 1 month - sad wife

Hardware:
Bafang BFSWX02 36V300W(12) rear hub motor with controller pictured below. PAS only, no throttle.

Fault:
No motor drive at all - Display powers up, speedo works, brake light works on both L&R levers. Red LED on controller flashes slowly after powering on in steady state - that normal?

Checked:
Battery terminals clean and undamaged (39.5V floating), PAS sensor and disc nicely aligned with 1-2mm gap, tried disconnecting both brake sensors, checked 9-pin motor connector and wiring (undamaged), reseated connectors at the controller. Checked PAS sensor: +4.23V between red and black, +4.17V between green and black - doesn't change at all when disc is spinning, should it?

Not sure how to check the motor, PAS sensor & controller, other than swap them out. Any tips welcome...

Yes, I think the green wire signal should cycle down close to 0 volts and back up toward +4 volts as the disc magnets pass over the sensor.

Thanks for the reply Doc. I'll get another PAS sensor, green wire V is def unchanging... (also measures 0V between red and green).

Fitted new sensor. All good again, happy wife
