I just toasted my Conhismotor 1500w controller by leaving it in a small case with no air flow and casually riding around town. The middle four MOSFETS are reading .2 ohms. Lesson learned: it gets really hot in there. I put my tail between my legs and ordered a replacement. $80, ouch!

While that's on its way from China I was thinking of upgrading the blown controller's MOSFETS to IRFB3006's and capacitors to the best 100V I can squeeze in there. Is there anything I missed in my searches that I should be wary of if I choose to proceed? I am primarily looking to restore function with some added reliability.

Thanks!
Chris

why would you put 100V caps into a controller that will only be able to take around 50V max if you use 3006's ?
what fets did it have in it originally?
