Re: Temperature meter that work with KTY-84 ?
I think you're out of luck.
I once saw a nice 'anything' LED panel meter on eBay that had a programmable y=mx+b type voltage calibration/calculation which would be perfect for your application (actually 'temp' one of the uses they called out) - but I never saw it again. Looked like one of the standard LED panel voltmeters but with different programming. Bummer.
It's probably not what you want to do, but you might swap the part with an LM-35 which would allow you to read the temperature directly on any voltmeter. One of the many little LED or LCD meters on eBay might fit into your dash panel/instrument cluster.

Aha!
Here's something for about $12 like the meter I saw on eBay -- the y = mx+b style meter.
This should work - I didn't plow through the parameter ranges, etc, but you are basically dealing with b=(voltage offset at 0 degC) and a m=(degC/V). If you use a 5V reference supply, you can use the calculated values on the CA V3 download post (see the snapshot of the spreadsheet).

Nice find. In fact this is to install on my Zeromotorcycle. I need to know the motor temp and it use a KTY84 inside witch i can not replace.. Motor is a pain to remove and open.. i need temp reading for drag racing purpose.
in fact i was looking for that exact type or PROGRAMMABLE meter..
thanks!

Re: Temperature meter that work with KTY-84 ?
Old thread I know, but I have the same question. Has anyone tries that ME-DV31423 meter? I have a LeafBike 1500W motor with a KTY 84-130 PTC thermistor that I would like to read the temperature from.
