I have recently re-celled a tranzx bl07 battery pack, fotted to an Ebco store bought ebike.
The bms seems to be in some sort of protection mode now, understandably as i have cut balance connections to rejoin the new cells. The pack also seems to run a canvus system for communication.
However I'm struggling to get the bms to reset and output the full voltage of the pack. The bms has a coin cell which i have removed, along with all other battery connections for a while.
Any information you might have would be hugely appreciated.

Re: Tranzx / Ebco BMS question
Maybe this will help.
Found in a German Forum:
http://www.pedelecforum.de/forum/index. ... rte.29424/
Almost at the bottom of the page thread by "Tigerduck".
If you can't read german, he mentions 2 orange wires connected to the charge connector pin2 and pin5 . On the PCB they are connected to RSTN and GND. They need to be shorted for a short time to reset the BMS.
picture found at the same forum (http://www.pedelecforum.de/forum/index. ... ung.29198/).
However, i refitted a tranzx bl05 battery . The orange wires are missing with this type of battery and i didn't need to reset it. So the "protection mode" doesn't seem to be activated with all models.
One more thing, the German fellow warns : this procedure is at YOUR OWN responsability, On his battery it worked.
Hope i Could help you

Thank you very much for your reply. After talking to the customer it turns out he just hadn't charged it long enough! D'oh!!
