Hi guys,
I just wired up my brand new em3ev bike with an Adaptto and a Cromotor v3. Soldered everything together and went for the auto-calibration but ended up getting the Hal error 2. Could anyone help me troubleshoot please?
I asked Vladimir the seller of the Cromotor what the wiring colors meant so I could solder them properly to the adaptto and he told me the following:
Fat wires; Blue, Green, Yellow are each the phase wires
Note#: I plugged these into the Adaptto controller without a care about the order. I think that was okay.
5 thin wires; Red and black as + and - respectively. Wires Blue, yellow, green are +, -, and Hal signal wires respectively.
Note# I soldered the 5 wires into the 7 prong adapter from the Adaptto kit in the following order,
https://www.google.com/search?q=Ima...8u_PAhWFbD4KHSOXACQQwg4IGygA&biw=1140&bih=876
(Adaptto pin 1 - HAL 1 ) - Blue wire
(Adaptto pin 2 - HAL 2 ) - Yellow wire
(Adaptto pin 3 - HAL 3 ) - Green wire
(Adaptto pin 4 - Temp sensor ) - White wire, //note there were two thick white wires and a thin one. I opted one of the thick ones since I knew there should have been two for temperature
(Adaptto pin 5 - Ground ) - Black wire
(Adaptto pin 6 - 5V ) - Red wire
Center pin was not used.
Because the error was Hal error 2 I suspect this soldering was done improperly. Maybe the order of my 3 HAL wires should have been done differently? Maybe Vladmir miss-typed which wire is which?
This was his exact response to my question about the wire coding for the Cro v3.
"Hello,
3 fat wires = blue, green, yellow = motor phase wires
5 thin wires : red+, black -, blue, yellow, green ( +,-, and HAL signal wires)
2 white wires = temperature sensor wires
another 5 thin wires (spare)
Hope this will help
Br,
V"
Please let me know if I misread any of this and therefore got something wrong.
Another symptom I noticed was that when I hit the throttle I think my motor is regen braking. I may be mistaken or I wired the throttle wrong, or this could be caused by the lack of auto-calibrating my motor maybe?
Here is the diagram for throttle,
https://www.google.com/search?q=Ima...8-_PAhUBcD4KHetpDKgQwg4IGygA&biw=1140&bih=876
My throttle from em3ev has 3 wires; red, black, blue.
I connected as so,
(Adaptto Brown, 5V) to Red from throttle.
(Adaptto Black, ground) to Black from throttle.
(Adaptto Blue, Throttle Hall Sensor Output) to Blue from throttle.
(Adaptto White, Brake Hall Sensor Output (Buttons) ) #I left this one on it's own, so not plugged into anything.
Any assistance is very much appreciated.
Thank you.
