What do you think of installing an additional switch that will shorten the throttle for cruising at full power?

It could be also equipped with a large linear potentiometer for having a precise manual cruising speed adjustment.

Anyone tried it?

Best to make it a self energizing relay*, and set it up so it drops out when Ebrake active.

*relay with multiple poles. One pole switches throttle signal to new pot. Second pole supplies current to relay coil via NO contacts. On button momentarly NO contacts, relay energizes and keeps itself on. Off button is NC switch in series with relay coil. Ebrake would use second relay with NC contacts in series with off button.

Relays are easier to understand, but it can be done with slightly less power with solid state logic or uC.
