I am trying to find a good charger that plugs into outlet AC and charges a 4x 4s 14.8v pack for my ebike but I cant seem to find any just standard 60v or 72v chargers that are commonly used for charging SLA. Would those still work for charging a 60v lipo pack that goes to say 67.8v when fully charged? I have multimeters to keep track of the voltage too so incase if it is overcharging i can stop it. I prefer using ebay, try and avoid amazon as I hate purchasing amazon items cause their new policy and shit.

Will a dumb charger fit the bill?
Big heavy and ugly ok?

I bought a muti-voltage 5/10amp charger on ebay that I use everyday. From lead to LTO.
12/24/36/48/60/72

By using the 5a/10a switch it pretty much does it all.

Oh crap, he raised the price since I got mine. Still under $100

for a 16s pack, you need 67.2V charger.

Within 5 minutes of posting, mine quit.
I'm serious
In any case, still recommend it. It's a dumb charger, easy fix,it's a transformer and 25a bridge.
Poor connection on primary. Aluminum but still heavy duty. Runs cool without fan at over 10a rated current.
Noticed while cover was off that secondary has plenty of room for adding a 96v winding. Or a 6v buck winding if so inclined.
Room for a couple turns of 6awg for ???

Time permitting it could use a bath fan timer and cheap hvc from ebay. Plenty room inside.

Preferrably one within US china takes months to ship and i dont trust shit from china cause theyre cheap

Any suggestions? Wes Newell what charger do you use for the multistars, cause thats what im getting.

I use one of these to charge my 15s 26Ah battery:

I have purchased a few of these. One burned out after a few charges. The next one was also running way too hot before the fan turned on so I modified it some. I took out the fan, cut away the center of the opening, and mounted the fan on top. I use a 5v supply to run the fan all the time. This keeps it cool. Just checked mine, tops out at 66.7 volts which should work OK for a 16s battery. When both of my ebay 60v supplies arrived, the biggest problem was the packing. They were packed very poorly with just a tin layer of bubble wrap and paper.

The dc to dc power supplies also work well if you have powerful 12v supply. I have one like this that adjusts up to 90+volts.

Hope this helps.

This looks so complicated Im trying to find one that simply plugs into standard outlet and one i can take with me.
