My wife has an old ATIV 36V kit with a 408 motor and a Journey Controller on her bike. When we got it out this spring, the motor started running as soon as the controller was turned on with no throttle applied. If the controller is turned off, the bike responds to throttle, but the motor "groans" and the bike does not move very fast. Battery is old,but shows 39V with no load.
My guess is the controller is bad - is a replacement available? Also the 36V10AH NiMH Pack is old - could a 36V9AH Lithium battery be substituted?
